Samsung has announce massive price drop of Rs. 4000 in S8 plus 128 GB variant. S8+ 128 GB was launched in June 2017 at MRP of Rs. 80,000 . Its consumer price was Rs. 74990. Worried with cold response of customers, Samsung has reduced its MOP by Rs. 4000. New consumer price of S8 plus 128 GB is Rs. 70,990.
Samsung has launched S8 and S8 plus in May 2017. It came in two screen 5.8 inch and 6.2 inch. 5.8 inch screen display phone was name as S8 and 6.2 inch screen size was named S8 plus.
S8 and S8 plus, was a hit among customer. It helped in revival of Samsung above 50k price range. Excited with success of S8 and S8 plus, Samsung launched new variant of S8 plus in 70-80K price range. it was named S8 plus 128 GB. It came in one color Black.
S8 plus 128 GB was never in demand, pre-booking was a disaster. Even post launch, retailers shied away to keep stock of this handset. it was ‘On demand’ handset. Retailers used to place order when they get confirmation from customer to procure.

Understanding reality, Samsung changed game plan and in first phase announced freebie like wireless charger with every phone of this model. when even it was not successful then price drop decision was taken.
