International Programme in Management for Executives by IIM Lucknow

The IPMX, ninth batch, full time, one-year residential management programme would be launched in April 2017 at the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow-NOIDA Campus. The International Programme in Management for Executives is designed for mid/senior level professionals, to prepare them for leadership roles.

Programme Objective

The overall goal of the programme is to broaden the core managerial competencies to further enhance the professional growth of students. The specific objectives of the programme are to:

Fee Structure

The fee for International Programme in Management for Executives (IPMX) is INR 20,00,000 which includes tuition, cost of course material, library, computer facilities, career counseling, student activities and mess charges, excluding accommodation charges at the IIML-NC, plus refundable caution money INR 20,000.

The fee also includes the cost of academic inputs, travel, visa and stay during the International Module. Expenses for boarding and other incidentals like local transport, internet, telephone, stationery, among others, during the International Module, is to be borne by the student.

Payment Schedule – INR 20,00,000 (Excluding Accommodation and Caution Money).

  1. At the time of acceptance of admission by the second week of January, 2017 – INR 1,60,000 (This amount is to be adjusted against the first installment.)
    Plus refundable caution money INR 20,000, Total = INR 1,80,000
  2. By 15th February 2017 – INR 4,60,000 and accommodation charges as per allotment
  3. By June 2017 – INR 4,60,000
  4. By September 2017 – INR 4,60,000
  5. By December, 2017 – INR 4,60,000

 Life at IIM Lucknow  – Noida Campus

The 8th batch of IPMX replete with vainglory and confidence entered the sprawling Noida Campus on 9th April 2015. IIM Lucknow is the first IIM in India to have fully functional campuses at two different locations. The batch profile covers functions from Engineers, PSUs and Army to Banking and Consulting. Every single participant had to knock GMAT hard and was then handpicked by the interview panel to be a part of this prestigious AMBA accredited IPMX program.

The Inauguration and Week Ahead

The inauguration of the batch began with Prof. Rajiv K. Srivastava (Director, IIM Lucknow), Prof. Ajay Singh (Chairperson, IPMX), Prof. Punam Sehgal (Dean, Noida Campus, IIM Lucknow) addressing the students and acquainting them with the program. The faculty spoke to the students on topics such as building learning community, learning through case studies, critical thinking etc. Experts such as Mr. Pradeep Kashyap (‘Father of Rural Marketing’, Founder & CEO of MART), Mr. Nitin Seth (Managing Director & Country Head – India, Fidelity Worldwide Investments) and Mr. Subramanian Chidambaran (Engagement Manager, McKinsey & Company) also interacted with the students.

 

Alumni Connect and Shubharambh

On 16th May’2015, the IPMX batch celebrated “Shubharambh”, which is the annual alumni connect festival held at IIM Lucknow’s Noida Campus. The current batch met the previous batches. The alumni were eager to know how the batch was progressing and gave some resourceful tips on managing the course. IPMX alumni are placed in senior leadership roles in reputed companies. The alumni continue to provide support and have always been proactively involved in the activities taking place on campus.

Events

IIM L Noida campus, observed Environment Day on the 5th of June with a Sustainability Summit.

The event, organized by the IPMX students, was graced by eminent forerunners in the field. The list included Mr. Suresh Thawani, Ex CEO & Managing Director, Tata Sponge Iron Limited, Mr. Sandeep Shrivastava, Vice President, Corp. Environment & Sustainability, Ambuja Cements Ltd, Mr. Gyan Prakash Misra, Vice President, Special Projects and Head Waste-to-Energy, IL&FS Environmental Infrastructure & Services Ltd, Mr. Manpreet Singh, Associate Director, Advisory Climate Change & Sustainability Services, KPMG and Dr. Manisha Mukherjee, Practice Head, Climate Change and Sustainability, DEFT. With introductory sessions by the Institute’s Prof. Amit Mookerjee and Prof. Shamama Afreen, talks focused on current trends and the future of sustainability in the industry. The talks revolved around the evolution of sustainability, influence of brands on sustainability and how focus on people and planet will ensure that profits will follow. The panel discussed “Making a Business Case for Environmental Sustainability”. The event was closed with a ceremonial tree planting activity.

Industry Relations

IIM Lucknow shares very deep and committed relations with the industry and a second campus right in the middle of the industrial city of Noida symbolizes this commitment. As part of the Leadership Talk Series, the 8th batch of IPMX has been interacting with industry experts such as Mr. Bharat Salhotra, MD, Alstom Transport, Dr. Laura Oswald, Founder & Director, Marketing Semiotics, and Mr. NSN Murty, Director & Leader, Smart Cities, PwC.

Placements

At IIM Lucknow, we don’t disclose our placement statistics. We have always stressed on our knowledge development. Though, we can assure that our placements are at par with any leading institute in the country. We maintain strong relationship with corporate world. Our students have been placed in sectors like manufacturing, IT, consulting, banking, medical, media etc. in the past. Major roles offered are like Product Manager, Program Manager, VP, GM, Center Head, Senior Consultant, Senior Manager etc. In executive education each student is unique. Everyone has their own background, hence it’s near impossible to generalize the placement trends for an executive management program.
