Apple selling 5S 16GB last lot desperately @ Rs.13000 in India

Apple in Sep 20016 has announced that it will not continue 16 GB ROM iPhone and all variants will have minimum 32 GB memory. Surprisingly 5S 16GB variant witnessed no impact of this announcement.

Apple has finally decided to call off 5S 16GB production and so is sale. Apple has never been fair with its policy, and retailers always been at receiving end following dictum of the company. This time however it is slightly different. To sell off all 5S 16GB Apple announced valentine offer on HDFC card, on using HDFC card while purchasing 5S 16 GB customer was getting flat Rs. 6000 as cash back. It end price to consumer decreased to Rs. 13-14 k.

Apple 5S 16 GB is cheapest iPhone at MRP of Rs. 25k. In price hierarchy , 5S is followed by SE and iPhone 6. 5S 16 GB bear 4.7 inch screen while iPhone 6 is 5 plus inch screen phone.

Apple has reduced iPhone 6 32 GB price heavily and now new shipment of iPhone 6 32 GB is  @ Rs. 30,990. It is end of 5S 16 GB era and beginning of 6 32 GB as volume product.

This quarter ending on 31st march is also being seen as end of 4.7 inch screen phone i.e. 5S 16 GB. In order to facilitate same it is being offered to consumer for mere 13-15K Rs depending on market.

Historically South India has low vat structure in range of 5%, so it can be bought at Rs. 13-14K. North India, west India and East India, say Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and UP are high vat state ranging 12-15 %, so in these states it will be available @ 14-15 K.
