Xiaomi is going to launch Mi 8 on its 8th anniversary. Mi was rumored to come with Mi7 after Mi 6, however Xiaomi has shared a tactical teaser of Mi 8. So far Xiaomi has mastered art of leaking pics in order to make it talk of town. Mi8 price in India shall vary from Rs. 9,990 to 21,990 based on memory variants.
Xiaomi has been working on Mi 7 but considering 8th anniversary its launch has been postponed. Now Mi8 shall come first in May itself and Mi 7 shall follow it. Xiaomi is facing heat in feature rich smartphones and recently it has been challenged by Oppo and Honor.
It should be noted that Huawei and Oppo are much ahead of Xiaomi in parent country, China. Huawei comes with sub-brand Honor and Oppo with Realme (recently launched) has challenged Mi supremacy. Mi facing the heat of competition has preponed launch of Mi8.

Other than 8th anniversary, bundle of reasons has pushed Mi to launch Mi 8 as early as possible.
First reason is Realme brand, which has dented Xiaomi’s reputation of cheapest and feature rich affordable smart phones. Realme1 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM phone is superior than any phone launch by Mi under 15k price segment till date.
Second reason is launch of Oneplus 6. Oneplus 5 was a disaster as per parameters sets by Oneplus itself. At the same time Mi Mix2 fate was similar to Oneplus 5. Oneplus is trying to regain lost ground with help of Oneplus6, however before it happens Mi is here with Mi 8 to destabilize VX21, Realme 1 and Oneplus 6.
