Bible of Mobile handsets price cut in Aug 2017

In Aug, Price cut was least in recent period. Only 3 brands has gone for reducing price in Aug 2017. It includes Honor, lava and Samsung. August is festive month, All brands has spent their budget on attracting and convincing customer rather than playing on price.

Honor has reduced price of Holly 3+ by Rs. 1000.  Holly 3+ is 10-15K price range phone. Samsung has launched J7 nxt in july in this price segment. J7 nxt is one of the top selling model of Samsung.

Lava has also reduced price of 4 models including Captain N1, Captain N1 Gold, KKT 34 Power and A76 plus. A76 plus is smart phone while rest 3 are feature phone. In Feature phones price cut was from Rs. 40 to 80 while in Smartphone A76 plus it was rs. 400.

Samsung has reduced price of 5 models, highest in month of Aug by any brand. Samsung is facing tough competition from Xiaomi as market leader in smart phones.  Price cut by Samsung was effective in models Samsung A5 2016, Samsung A7 2016, Samsung A5 2017, Samsung A7 2017 and J2 2015. Price cut was highest in Samsung A7 2017 by rs. 5000 and it was lowest in J2 2015 by rs. 850.

Price cut in J2 was inevitable on 2 basis, first it was facing steep competition from Xiaomi in 5 to 8 k price range and it is planning to launch J2 2017 in coming month.
